Time running out to join Guild Bring Your Own Vehicle Day 2026
Time is ebbing away if you want to be a part of the latest Bring Your Own Vehicle Day on Saturday 3rd October. Committee member Chris Adamson has organised an exciting programme involving motorcycling and aviation and anyone planning to attend needs to get their entry form back to him.
The New Forest-based day will begin at the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum at Bashley near New Milton, which houses more than 500 rare and exotic motorcycles from around the world. All have been restored by Sammy who will be present to show members round, aided by Guild member Alan Cathcart.
Following a 40-mile cross-country journey north through the New Forest, the second part of the day will be at the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, home to a vast array of operational and test aircraft, fast jet cockpits, helicopters, missiles, simulator trainers and the Royal Flying Corps Museum.
Group entry fee for the Boscombe Down Collection is £12 per head, payable on the day. The only upfront cost is a nominal £10 per car administration fee payable to the Guild account at the time of booking.
Chris can provide local hotel details for those travelling a long distance to join the event and there will also be the option of a dinner on the night before for those staying at the hotel and any local Guild members who would like to join them for the meal.
If you want to join in, contact Chris for an entry form. And if you’ve already received a form, Chris asks can you please fill it in and get it back to him!
