1. Work entered for the Guild Awards 2017 must have been published in the 12 months up to 29 September 2017.
  2. Each piece of work may be submitted for a maximum of two awards.
  3. Submissions must be made using the online entry form.
  4. Subject to the criteria for each individual award, you can submit up to three pieces of work, either as PDF or JPG documents (maximum 4MB each) OR URLs of articles online, which must remain live until at least 31 December 2017.
  5. You must obtain copyright clearance so the Guild can publish your entry if it wins.
  6. Links to We Transfer, Dropbox and similar services are not eligible and will be disqualified.
  7. Books are only eligible for the Mercedes-Benz Award for the Montagu of Beaulieu Trophy and should be sent to Chris Adamson, Honorary Secretary, The Guild of Motoring Writers, 40 Baring Road, Bournemouth, Dorset BH6 4DT.
  8. Three finalists will be selected in each category by a judging panel including representatives from the Guild and the award sponsor.
  9. All finalists will be invited to attend the Annual Dinner and Awards evening on 30 November 2017 at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London.
  10. The winner in each category will receive a cheque and a crystal glass trophy to take home. The other finalists will receive Highly Commended certificates.
  11. The closing date for entries is Saturday 30 September 2017.
  12. The decisions of the judges are final.
