Elan PR is looking to recruit a full-time account executive or junior account manager to join its team devoted to offering communications and media relations support to specialists in the automotive, historic and motorsport sectors.

The successful candidate will support the team with the day-to-day operations of three to four accounts, with a strong focus on developing and implementing social media strategies and content. Researching, writing, distributing and pitching press materials will increasingly be part of the role as the candidate becomes familiar with our clients. They will also assist other colleagues on tasks as required and report on success for clients. A passion for motorsport and the automotive sector is desirable.

 Skills required

  • Ability to lead social media content and management
  • Good copywriter in order to draft press releases and articles. You will be asked to show examples of your written work
  • Comfortable to work in a small team, but also able to work independently
  • Have strong organisational skills in order to manage a number of ongoing account tasks and ad-hoc projects simultaneously
  • Display creativity in finding opportunities for clients
  • Passion, initiative, tenacity
  • Journalist contacts and at least a year’s agency experience would be beneficial

Daily activities

  • Meeting and corresponding with clients on a daily basis
  • Researching, writing, editing copy, press releases and articles
  • Developing and executing social media content
  • Support creating media reports for clients

Working hours are from 9-5.30, though flexibility is a must. Work is mainly office-based, but there will be some travelling to meet clients and attend events. Remuneration depending on experience.
