FISITA is the international federation of automotive engineering societies. This role is primarily based around activities and events which promote the work of FISITA to its members and other targeted stakeholders through traditional and digital communications, social media and PR activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Communications Manager in delivery and development of all activities within the responsibility of the communications area of the business.

• Provide website administration, including creation and uploading copy, images and video via the content management system, ensuring an up to date, relevant and a consistent look and feel to all of FISITA’s websites.

• To develop and implement a strategic approach to increase website traffic to FISITA’s websites, using a variety of online tools and researching new and innovative ways to raise our digital profile.

• To work with the communications manager to produce a clear communication strategy and develop its implementation utilising relevant social media messaging and engagement tools on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and other emerging channels.

• Overseeing FISITA’s Automotive Diary – uploading new listings and images onto our global calendar of automotive events across FISITA web platforms. Working across Business & Member Services Team to undertake research for new events and activities and to support with relevant communication support.

• Assist with content-gathering for the monthly e-bulletin, from our Member Societies, Honorary Committee and from the wider engineering community.

• To support the Communication Manager at all FISITA events and with other relevant stakeholder engagement.

• Checking and responding to enquires from the website and general emails in a timely manner.

• Updating and developing FISITA’s media contacts lists.

• As and when required, provide general administrative support for FISITA’s communications and business services activity.


• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

• Demonstrable experience using social media platforms and digital communications for an organisation

• Ability to learn quickly about FISITA and its communications initiatives

• Proficient in MS Office products, with an understanding of Apple technology

• Solid administration and organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet regular deadlines

• Attention to detail, with creative flair

• Proactive, self-motivated and self-policing team player, with the ability to work autonomously

• Willingness to contribute, with a strong team ethic

• The ability to represent FISITA effectively and professionally at events and meetings, which will include international travel Desirable

• Experience of working for a membership organisation

• Knowledge of automotive technology and the global automotive industry

• Good knowledge of using content management systems and Adobe packages

• Experience of working in an international organisation
