The Motorsport Network is looking for a motivated individual to manage the content and to support the launch of a new classic car digital brand.

Primary Objective of role

Reporting to the Editor in Chief, the web editor's role will be to manage the creation of, and to produce, engaging and shareable classic car content across website and social platforms that builds traffic and encourages visitors to respond to commercial partners.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and develop online content opportunities (features, video, apps) that builds a loyal and responsive audience.
  • Working with social media VP and audience development director to ensure all content is optimised across all platforms.
  • Developing systems to audit content on an ongoing basis to ensure resources are directed most effectively.
  • Manage the content team and freelancers to deliver content.
  • Work within the budgets available and seek to obtain cost effective agreements with freelance suppliers.
  • Support the commercial team in the delivery of partnership revenues.
  • Build relationships with senior figures in the industry and the classic car world to promote Motor1 Classics and to maximise the opportunities that develop from these contacts.

Candidate requirements:

  • Ideally, +5 years’ experience working within automotive media.
  • An enthusiasm for, and good knowledge of, classic cars.
  • Digitally Native and an everyday user of social media.
  • A hands-on individual who can work independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
