Employer Jaguar Land Rover

Location Coventry
Job type Full time
Salary £30,000-£35,000

The Land Rover UK Public Relations team is responsible for the creation and implementation of the brand and product communications strategy to automotive and non-automotive media across all channels in the UK, including print, digital and broadcast. This role in particular has a bias towards lifestyle communications, so you'll have the opportunity to engage non-automotive media. Part of the role looks after Land Rover’s core sponsorships PR including equestrian, sailing and rugby.

As the Land Rover Press Officer for the UK, you'll be encouraged to contribute to the company's proactive PR strategy and will be given your own projects to own, lead and deliver. In doing so, you'll tell stories about the Land Rover brand and products in creative and engaging ways to ensure maximum positive coverage for the brand. The overall scope of your responsibilities will be broad, and it will include researching and writing press releases, organising events, organising and managing video and photography shoots and responding to media enquiries. As well as writing engaging and informative copy, you’ll be the first port of call for journalists needing information or facts on Land Rover’s product portfolio. Consequently, relationship-building skills and an enthusiasm for the Land Rover brands and products will play a huge part of this role.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess excellent administrative and organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage a number of projects simultaneously. Additionally, you'll have outstanding writing and digital media skills and a wealth of Press Office, communications or journalistic experience. It is also likely you’ll have a history of engaging influencers, and experience of non-traditional media will be of benefit.

This role will require some skill at planning, organising and hosting events as well as an interest in and knowledge of automotive and luxury goods. You’ll then need to be able to deliver broadcast, print and online features which drive positive awareness of a brand and its products in addition to possessing a track record of successfully working with a range of suppliers and creative agencies. Due to the nature of this role, the ability to travel internationally and work out of hours including weekends will also be required.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and a performance related bonus scheme.
