Guild and Jaguar announce 2012 Sir William Lyons Award for budding motoring writers
ASPIRING MOTORING writers aged 17-23 are invited to enter the prestigious Sir William Lyons Award. The winner will receive a £2,000 prize – courtesy of award sponsor Jaguar, after whose founder the award is named – a handcrafted trophy, two years’ associate membership of The Guild of Motoring Writers and widespread industry recognition. This can then be used as a launch pad to a career in automotive media.

Free GoMW entry for National Motor Museum 40th anniversary cavalcade
THE NATIONAL Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire, is holding a May Day Cavalcade on Bank Holiday Monday 7 May, the to celebrate 40 years since its opening in 1972 – and GoMW members and their partners have been given the chance to visit the event for free, as well as take part in the cavalcade itself.
